British flowers

My home based studio is just a stones throw away from a wild flower farm, where they grow the most beautiful seasonal flowers that are all pesticide free. I love supporting the local growers and at the same time I’m spoilt with a huge selection of flowers that are cut fresh from the fields when I need them, so no air miles or flowers travelling out of water for days. I feel strongly about using flowers that are in season as they are at their peak and look super fresh in your floral arrangements.

Another reason I enjoy using seasonal flowers is because they represent the month you’re getting married in so when your anniversary comes around you will be surrounded by the flowers you had on your wedding day.

I’m also lucky to live close by to two more wonderful flowers farms, so between all three, I have plenty of fresh flowers to choose from. As well as using local pesticide free flowers to lower my carbon footprint I have also stopped using decorative cellophane to gift wrapped my bouquets, instead, I use kraft paper and satin, silk or organza ribbons. I’m also moving away from the use of floral foam in my designs to aim to be as eco friendly as possible in my floristry work.
